China - A New Experience

A country I would never choose to go to - and I have to admit, I was a little scared beforehand.

Traditional Chinese Art

An unexplainable inner resistance... When I took my first step on Chinese soil, I knew it would be a completely new experience for me - inner and outer. There was a strong inner will inside me that whatever I have to encounter, however I feel, whatever others say or do, I wanted to be happy and cheerful from the beginning to the end: 9 long weeks. To my greatest joy and astonishment it worked and I feel so grateful now!

These 9 weeks were of utmost importance for my spiritual development and for my inner progress. The fact to be able to share hours and hours every day in the presence of a true spiritual master was unimaginable.

Rather towards the end of this trip, Sri Chinmoy said a few beautiful things that rounded up the whole experience for me. I would like to share a few things that I can recollect from my memory (please note that what I write is unofficial):

Sri Chinmoy Reading Stories

Every morning we should make a new and fresh attempt in our meditation and our spiritual life. Every morning fly a little higher, dive a little deeper and run a little faster. Develop adamantine will-power. Imagine you are right in front of your own highest. There are two ways to reach your highest: To smile from your soul or to cry as soulfully and helplessly as possible (like a child) from your heart. Your ultimate goal is the strongest in the spiritual life... ...Before you enter the spiritual life you claim yourself as your own possession. Once you start on your spiritual journey you feel that you belong to God. Feel that you are part and parcel of God. When you claim God all the time as your own, all your problems will be solved...
